Owl at the Moon Sideboard
This posh all wood Owl Nightstand is 20″ across x 26.5″ height x 16″ deep.  The bottom shelf is 10.5″ high and the legs raise the nightstand 5.75″ off the floor.  This piece would make a vibrant addition to any room, bringing wisdom and whimsy into your life.

This piece was cleaned, sanded, refinished, hand painted and clear coated with earth friendly, low VOC paints.

Meet the Owl! This amazing detail shows the love and care that Yabette pours into her artwork.  This bird of prey is alert and lovely!

Owl Nightstand perspectiveThe owl on this furniture piece is nocturnal, meaning it uses the night time for hunting (as evidenced by the full moon).  However, several types of owl (like the Pygmy Owl) are crepuscular, active during the twilight hours of dawn and dusk.  Some owls (the Burrowing Owl and the Short-eared Owl) are also active during the day.

“Much of the owls’ hunting strategy depends on stealth and surprise,” says Wikipedia, “Owls have at least two adaptations that aid them in achieving stealth. First, the dull coloration of owls’ feathers can render them almost invisible under certain conditions. Secondly, serrated edges on the leading edge owls’ remiges muffle an owl’s wing beats, allowing its flight to be practically silent.”
