The shows coming up this Spring for my work, have me in super busy bee mode, and I will announce the details soon. Before that, I have several floral oil paintings in the shop available now at my best price offer until mid April.
While this framed watercolor, “Musing in Layers” is sold, I can do commissions like it, just message me.
But I have beautiful blooming oil paintings available right now on stretched canvas, ready-to-hang in your home or office. I have never offered my original oil paintings at these prices, so take advantage of this limited time offer.
White butterflies are my personal symbol of well being and they show up in my world as confirmation of that quite frequently. I love this bright reminder that joy is a choice! Get it in the shop today! Continue reading →
Traveling with intentions for healing and inspiration, my journey has begun in spiritual wonderland: Santa Fe, New Mexico. The flow has been completely sweet, with joyous friends and fun, joined by peaceful interludes of nature’s soul food. Finding myself in a multi-million dollar house-sit, with every luxury a girl could want, has been icing on the luscious cake. I have been wishing for dogs in my life and there are FIVE of them here!
Because I need to continue my income streams, and because I just cannot stop being creative, I am painting. I started a new series of graphic colorful backgrounds in oils before I left town, to make sure they would be dry enough to travel with, and am now adding abstract florals to the patterns.
Yesterday, I began the first floral with a cannabis bud, because exquisite artful nature must be recognized and exalted despite the past political stigmas of government repression. I painted in a grove of Aspen trees. At one point I stopped and looked around as the wind blew their shimmering leaves, and the stream next to me gushed down the mountain side. My tears joined the flow in reverence to the overwhelming majesty.
This is a photo of cash from recent art sales. I know my art is a good investment. I am paying bills as an artist in the face of the status quo which says that is not possible. I am posting this with two intentions: to inspire more investors and to inspire other artists who might experience a voice that says to give it up.
Don’t listen to the prison matrix brainwashing that pulls you away from your true self.Continue reading →
Another stretch, (besides stories of painted characters) from my last show Jubilieu was achieved with painting states of being as abstract art. Using texture, shape and color, I finished two large scale pieces. Happy Art Expressions to you this weekend! xxoo Yabette
Yes, I said spawn. Create. Engender. Yield. Beget. I am feeling the effects of the push as 5 new paintings in oils were born this week in preparation for the June 22nd event that celebrates the arrival of Jubilieu in the Castro. They have been miraculously drying faster than I think they should in the chilly, wet fog of San Francisco June.
As I paint, their stories have been swirling around in my head. They will be available to be heard online as recordings read by voice over talent, producer, and lit artist, judy-b. I am going to produce a coffee table book as well. A Hard back, full color rendition of the Jubilieu characters and stories will be available along with the original oil works.
This is a new stretch for me. I’ve had thoughts in my head that come from fear trying to hold me back. They are banished in the name of new growth.
So every Sunday leading to the show, I have been painting live out front of this bright establishment (with the perfect afternoon delights for high tea or a caffeine fix.)
Here are a few of the works in progress from the sunny sidewalk of Sweet Inspiration.
Feel free to come over and sit in the window next to me. I love to chat while I work and you will surely love the delectable dining and the lively, creative atmosphere. I have a curated mix of some new works and some from the last show currently in the viewing gallery for your pleasure and purchasing perusal. -xxooYabette
Satori arrived from a magical island of fairies and Mer folk. It is a sanctuary of beauty, peace, and bliss of which Satori favors. However, when situations arise to bring her out of this protected sphere, she wields a poison stinger that she will not hesitate to use when needed.
Here is my process of painting her original portrait, available here. XXOO Yabette
