My spirit could not be dampened by the rain, nor the stern look from the waitress insisting “We don’t do that here” upon my request for a container to take the remainder of that perfect creamy squash soup with me. It was the night before my birthday and I was in Paris! I had just wondered through the streets near 24 Rue Francois 1er and stared into the windows of the closed shops of Christian Dior, Chanel, Hermes and the like. Yesterday, I made a bag. I visualized it as the bag I will use as I am riding a bike around Amsterdam in October. I found a gorgeous remnant of this luxurious textured, sturdy upholstery with a modern, muted sea foam and chocolate pattern. I paired it with one of my favorite cotton vintage prints for the inside pocket and lining. Its creation added to my happiness this week. May your weekend be full of creative, well executed intentions! xxoo Yabette Continue reading →
