The Hemp Show was a sweet success with a happy crowd of interested buyers, enjoying Rosenblum wine and mixing with the energetic models wearing head-to-toe sustainable, luxurious fabrics! Continue reading
This fantastic event is giving me life! Join me for a night of luxury, glamour, and glorification of the plant that has over 25,000 different uses! While she has been misunderstood, neglected and underestimated, HEMP is now coming into her own and I am showcasing her with might and muse!
I have finished my year long focus in oils on hemp and am bringing you my results plus education in The Hemp Show hanging this very moment in Rosenblum Cellars Winery at The Ferry Building in Oakland’s Jack London Square. You can get a peek at some of the art here, while the rest will be unveiled online after this Artist Reception Event.
My spirit could not be dampened by the rain, nor the stern look from the waitress insisting “We don’t do that here” upon my request for a container to take the remainder of that perfect creamy squash soup with me. It was the night before my birthday and I was in Paris! I had just wondered through the streets near 24 Rue Francois 1er and stared into the windows of the closed shops of Christian Dior, Chanel, Hermes and the like. While stopping there at Cafe’ Mode for an evening bite, I sketched the scene and water colored and inked it later. I’ll always remember my happy jaunt in the rain with my light jacket and umbrella, halting in emotional surprise when I came upon the watery night view of the Eiffel Tour lights.
This and several like it, professionally framed by Capricorn Framing are part of my solo exhibition in the Haight Ashbury District at Blue Front Cafe at 1430 Haight St. San Francisco, CA. Continue reading
Cute Capelets…Your New Cool Weather Staple
We’ve added some fabulous new pieces to the shop, and we hope that you love them as much as we do. These pieces are designed to be sexy, versatile, and fun to wear.
In the spirit of sustainability and low waste, Yabette wanted to find ways to use the off-cut scraps of hemp that were left from her currents rolls. We love the way they came together as capelets. Some of them have added liners in luxuriously warm and strong hemp fleece making them deliciously cozy around the neck and shoulders. Perfect for a layer-happy city like San Francisco. We love the silhouette a capelet gives- emphasizing the shoulders in proportion to the waist. The use of the off-cuts makes each one of these capelets unique. Continue reading
I am super excited to share the piece that is going to change your life….it’s called the Deb Top!
The Deb Top is THAT TOP…the one you reach for when you want to throw on something cute and cozy. The one you can style with different pieces of jewelry to achieve different looks. The one that can easily be dressed up or dressed down depending on your vibe. (I want it within a week, take me to the buy page now.) Continue reading
My favorite tarot card is the queen of wands and I love this Cosmic Tribe depiction of her by artist Stevee Postman, on my life planning book cover that was collaged by Storm Arcana. I like to live my life as The Queen of Wands, who possesses enormous creative power and energy, with the ability to destroy what does not work, making room for the creation of what does. My numerology life lesson is the sun card and I know that depicting life in full optimism is my constant mission. Sometimes this comes easier than others, as controlling my circumstances is impossible. Continue reading

CALLING ALL WORKING CREATIVES!
We are living in a new paradigm of awareness for creating what we want.
We want paid. We eat!! Exposure will not feed us. This change has to come from us.
That ugly phrase, you know the one, has been an accepted part of our consciousness too long. We will never speak of that ridiculous, sad, outmoded stereotype fairy tale to each other, in reference to ourselves, and most definitely NOT ever to our children. When it is mentioned, we will gently and happily state with a smile, “Actually, I am an eating artist”.
From now on, we claim our value as an #EatingArtist
Join me in my campaign to rise up together to raise awareness that ARTISTS EAT!
Post your beautiful creative self, post your art, post your kid making art, post your new book, post your performance video, post your created dinner and hashtag it #EatingArtist
Join me as we decorate the Internet on all of our social media with #EatingArtist love!
Here is my first:
It’s been a wondrous year. As I look at what has been accomplished, I am feeling fulfilled, smarter, and more in love with myself, my fellow artists, this succulent city by the bay, and the ever expanding universe. Continue reading
